Portsea Beach House
滨海住宅
Portsea Beach House位于菲利普港湾（Port Phillip Bay）的海岸线上，距离Portsea Pier码头仅有几步之遥，是对现有悬崖顶楼住宅的翻新。旨在向住宅的低调特征致敬，使人想起现代主义时代，并采用了富有同情心的色调，从周围的沿海环境中汲取灵感。
Located along the coastline of Port Phillip Bay and within arm’s reach of the Portsea Pier, Portsea Beach House is the refurbishment of an existing cliff top residence. The proposed scheme pays homage to the understated character of the house which is reminiscent of the modernist era and adopts a sympathetic palette that draws inspiration from the surrounding coastal context.
客户要求在保持现有建筑足迹的同时，通过精致的设计手法和对空间布局的微小修改，使现有的双层住宅恢复活力，创造一个6间卧室的天堂。该项目要求从现有现代主义住宅的角度，也从家庭与海滨小镇的长期联系的角度，对过去进行深刻的欣赏。
The Client brief sought to rejuvenate the existing double storey residence, whilst maintaining the existing building footprint, with refined design gestures and minor modifications to the spatial arrangement to create a 6 bedroom haven. The brief called for a deep appciation of the past, both from the perspective of the existing modernist house but also in the context of the family’s long standing connection to the seaside town.

In response, decorative lighting and key furniture pieces were sourced through vintage ateliers, including the original Semi Pendant (1967) that features in both the ground and first floor living areas. New joinery insertions provide for a neutral backdrop to showcase our clients array of ornaments and treasures collected along their travels, the final layer that defines a strong sense of home. Also of significance to the family was a key art piece ‘Boat Sheds on Fisherman’s Beach by Sally Joubert’, that featured in the family’s past beach house and was to take pride of place in their new home.
Sensory Lab

Located at the base of the Rialto within the historic financial heart of Melbourne, the Sensory Lab, Rialto, draws upon the context of the site and the values of the Sensory Lab brand to reimagine and recreate the pviously generic sandwich, salad and coffee experience. A re-imagined approach to its pdecessors, the brief sought a clever and compact design to showcase in equal measure, both a coffee and ‘grab and go’ food offering, a first for the brand.

Inspired by the warm tones of traditional European espsso bars, the design is rich in detail but similarly pared back and refined, exuding a contemporary elegance and sophistication. Furthermore, the design is layered with texture, as well as activity, to create a uniquely high end ‘grab and go’ experience.
